Cheryl was born and raised in Burbank, California. She joined Kiwanis October
1, 2000, as a Charter Member of the Rose Float of Pasadena Club, only after
having to ask her husband, and current Cal]Nev]Ha Governor, what it would
take for her to join too! Cheryl understands Richardfs passion for Kiwanis and
even agreed to be married the day before they left for Nice, France to attend the
1994 Kiwanis International Convention. She was very gracious as she shared her
honeymoon with five members of the Burbank Club and several thousand
Kiwanians from around the world.
In 2006, while Richard was serving as the Kiwanis Cal]Nev]Ha Foundation
President, Cheryl asked why she could not have her credit card charged on a
monthly basis to support the District Foundation. This opportunity came to
fruition in 2009 with the Champions for Children program. Cheryl became one of
the charter members of the program and remains a very strong supporter today.
As the 2011]2012 First Lady of Cal]Nev]Ha, Cheryl will be working to increase
the number of Kiwanians supporting the District Foundation with a monthly
gift. She is calling this the gDrive for Fiveh as she would like to see us reach a
minimum of five hundred (500) Champions for Children. In addition, Cheryl is
working to raise awareness of the Foundationfs six (6) partner hospitals. The
partner hospitals are a major part of the Foundationfs Pediatric Trauma Program
(PTP) and benefit from the funds donated through the Champions for Children
gifting program.
Cheryl is very proud to be serving as the 2011‐2012 First Lady for the Cal‐Nev‐
Ha District.
